Two Paper Divas

This is the last card for April that I have designed for Two Paper Divas.  As promised, I am continuing on with the Sparkle Theme.  I used a sentiment from "Yes to Sprinkles 2" stamp set on this card.

I stamped the flower that came from "Funky Flowers" on a piece of white cardstock.  I colored the image with my copic markers and then decided to add sparkle but added gemstones on the flower.

Thanks for checking out my cards for April.  I sure May will be just as much fun.

Two Paper Divas

As promised last week this card is all about the Sparkle.  I always like the large sentiments that Two Paper Divas design.  I had to go out of my comfort zone to make this card.  I started out by cutting a piece of pink glitter paper 4" x 5 1/4".  I then cut a piece of black cardstock 3 1/4" x 4".  I then started putting my colored gemstones around the edge.  I have struggled with gemstones in the past because they are connected in strips instead of individually.  Well for this project it worked perfectly.  I then cut a piece of water color paper 2 1/8" x 2 7/8".  I then stamped the image "Dream Big" using Versamark Ink.  I then used white embossing powder and heat embossed it.  I then went over the whole piece with Festive Berries Distress Ink.  I also sprayed the piece with Shimmer Mist.
I added a shimmery flower and ended up with a nice sparkly card.

Check back next week because I am still in the Sparkle mode.

Dazzlers

It is time for our Dueling Darlings challenge.  This month Suzy and Terry A. decided to have the theme of Spring to welcome warmer weather and all the beautiful colors in the springtime.

Terry sent me 2 images so I decided to use them both.  They were so adorable.  The were from a stamp set called Somebuuny to Love.  The sentiment is from a SU Stamp set called Easter Blossoms.  I colored these images with my zig water color markers.  The patterned papers are from Echo Park called "Spring".

Lastly, we were asked to share our favorite easter dessert.  Mine would be the layer dessert my family asks me to bring every easter.  It has a crust on the bottom and then a cream cheese layer, chocolate pudding layer, cool whip and a few mini chocolate chips.  Always a big hit.

You can see what my group came up with on this challenge.

Two Paper Divas

I decided to try my hand again this week using the stamp set "You Did It" from Two Paper Divas.  I cut the numbers out with my Brother Scan n Cut.  They are 2" tall.  I cut the white cardstock out 5 1/2" x 6 1/2".  I scored the 6 1/2" length at 2 1/4" and folded it over.
My picture really doesn't do this card justice.  I really like how it turned out.  I am so happy that Two Paper Divas came out with this stamp set this month.  Sure has come in handy.

Check back next week because it is all about Sparkle.

April Challenge for Two Paper Divas

What a fun challenge they are having over at Two Paper Divas this month for their monthly card challenge.  The challenge will run for two weeks which allows plenty of time to play along.

They will be offering a fun prize for the winner.
This month the challenge is to use this picture for inspiration.
I decided to go with the colors I saw and pull out my zig watercolor markers to create these bright colors.  I used 2 of the floral sets from Two Paper Divas.  For the flowers I used Funky Flowers and for the leaves I used Sunshine and Smiles.
Be sure check out what the Design Team has created over on the Two Paper Divas blog.  It is always fun to see what people take for inspiration from a picture.

Two Paper Divas

I can't believe graduation is right around the corner.  I was thrilled when Two Paper Divas came out with a graduation set this month.  Perfect timing because I have several great nieces and nephews graduating this year.

The stamp set is called "You did it".  I stamped the hat set on water color paper and cut it out again with my Brother Scan n cut.  I am thinking everyone needs to have one of these.  I love the sentiment also in this set.

Be sure and check out what the design team has on Two Paper Divas.  I love seeing what this talented group comes up with.

Two Paper Divas

Thought I would go out of my box a bit and post on the new release day for Two Paper Divas.  Another month of great new stamp sets.  I thought I would start out with my favorite stamp set this month which is called "Howdy".  I have always loved the western themed cards.
I stamped these images on watercolor paper and then cut them out with my Brother Scan n Cut.  I sure am loving that machine.  I used the zig watercolors to color in the images.  I couldn't go with the traditional colors.  This is in honor of my great niece Madison.  It reminds me of her.

Be sure and check back because Two Paper Divas has some great ideas this month.

This month, I’ve used the adorably sweet image “Dancing Squirrel” which I thought was an adorable image. I have added a few die cuts to give this squirrel a spring background.
