Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps

Time for another card for Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps
I thought this would be the perfect Clean and Simple Easter Card.  I took a piece of paper and sponged lines to make it look like sun rays.  The images I used were from "CLR032A Crosses 2".  This is a wonderful set that includes sentiments and cross designs.

Check out other projects from the Prickley Pear Rubber Stamp Design Team.  There are quite some creative people on the design team.

Meljens Designs Challenge #203

Meljen's Designs is having a fun challenge this week.  It is called "Let's hear it for the Boys".  I had purchased this adorable digital stamp from Meljen's.  It is called A Boy and His Puppy.  I sometimes struggle with a layout so I find myself going to sketch challenges for some inspiration.  I went to Sketch Saturday and since it is the 5th Saturday of the month, you can pick any sketch from #215 to 302.  I love it that you can go back through all the sketch challenges.  Such great ideas there.  I chose Sketch #223.
Here is my card using the adorable Meljen stamp.

From The Heart Digital Monthly Stamp

Every month on From The Heart Digital Stamps, she offers a free digital stamp if you play along each month.  I loved the March image.  It is called Hamlet PigWit Think Spring.  I colored the image with my copic markers and used some papers from Authentique "Grace" that I had purchased recently.  I love those soft peach colors in the card.

Can't wait to see what Faith comes up with for April.

Meljen's Challenge #202

The challenge today over at Meljen's Designs is a fun one.  The Challenge is "Girls Just Want to Have Fun".  I thought about this one and which of their digital stamps would be perfect for this challenge.  I came up with the digital stamp "A Girl and Her Kitty" because if you know me, you know that a good time to me is hugging my kitties.  So I colored up this cute little girl with my copic markers and made it in to an adorable card. I used papers from American Crafts Welcome Spring Set.
So go out there and have some fun by giving your fur babies some lovin.

I would like to also put this card in the following challenges.
Simply Create Too - Animals
Stampin For the Weekend - Anything Goes
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes
Pattie's Creations Design Challenges - Anything Goes - Must use digital stamp

Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps Tutorial

Easter will be here before you know it so I decided to make up some cute little Easter treat bags for my nieces and nephews.
To make these cute little bags you need to cut a piece of designer paper 5" x 6". On the 6" side you will score at 1", 2 3/4", 3 3/4", and 5 1/2".

On the 5" side  Score it at 1" and 4".

Fold on all your score lines.  Cut out the pieces as indicated below.  The side with the 2 flaps is the top.  The other end is the bottom.

Flip your piece over paper over so the outside of the box shows.  Adhere score tape to the 1/2" side and to the bottom piece.  I find this is the only one you need to put tape on to have your box stick together.
Once you have the box put together, pinch the tops together and I rounded the corners to give it a little extra.  I then punches a hole in the center of the top panel. Decorate the front of your bag any way you want.  I used the Prickley Pear Oval from the Flourish Nesting set which fit perfectly on the front of the box.  I also used Prickley Pear Nibbles Stamp  and Prickley Pear Baby Duck and colored them with my copic markers.  I then cut them out and pop dotted them on to the oval.  The sentiment is Prickley Pear Happy Easter.  These boxes hold 3 of the Hershey's Nugget perfectly.  After filling the box with your chocolates, just put a piece of ribbon through and you have a cute little easter box.

Twisted Tuesday Challenge #72

Time again for another challenge over at Twisted Tuesday Challenges.  Today's challenge was to not go near the edge.  The twist today was to use a page from a dictionary, old book or script paper on your creation.  I had purchased an old book at an antique store and love using the pages in my cards.  The book was a book of poems so it is fun to coordinate what I am trying to create.
The blotches and dots on the image are from a new stamp set called Happy Watercolor from Stampin Up.  The flower is also from that set.  I actually stamped the flower on a piece of Strawberry Slush cardstock and then colored a little bit with my copics to give it some dimension.  I used a gold stickles for the center.

Be sure and see what the rest of the design team has come up with.  This challenge was so much fun.

Time for another card from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.
Not sure why I chose to color this cat gray because I am a bit partial to the yellow ones.

For this card I used 2 images from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.  They are "GG0190 Penelope" and the sentiment I used was "DD0196 Happy Easter".  Be sure and check out the other Design Team Members on the Prickley Pear Blog to see what they have created.

I used two of their images.  The first one is Best of Luck Word Art and  the other one is called Little Shamrock Mouse.  Be sure and check out some of the other great creations on this weeks challenge on their Blog

I am also entering it in the following challenges.

Sketch Saturday

How about this?  Two posts in one day.  I have been having so much fun coloring images that I decided to do a few Sketch Challenges and make them in to birthday cards because I have alot of birthdays coming up.

Over at Sketch Saturday they have this wonderful sketch challenge.  They are also having a blog hop which you should check out because there are some fantastic cards along the way.

I pulled out some of my Doodlebug spring papers and decided to make this card bright and cheery.  It took me 3 tries on the layout of this card.  I just couldn't get the flower to look right but I just went with my favorite color and pink it is.  The image is called Flowery Gifty from Whimsy and Stars Sutdio.  She has the most adorable digital images.  I bought a few for Easter and hope to get those cards made soon.

From The Heart Digital Stamps Challenge

I am so wanting spring to come.  I have never enjoyed the cold so I would have to say that Spring is my favorite season.  I decided to color up this sweet image called "Spring Fence" by "From the Heart Digital Stamps".
This is their sketch challenge for this week. They are now adding a twist with their challenges.  The twist this week is to use real or faux stitching.  I brought my sewing machine out and stitched around the black circle.
So hopefully this card will bring some beautiful weather to our area.  Be sure and check From the Heart Digital Stamps Blog for some other great creations.

Twisted Tuesday Challenge

It's Tuesday and guess what that means?  Time again for another challenge over at Twisted Tuesday Challenges.  Today the challenge was the keep the project clean.  (No distressing, no inking, etc.)  The twist was to use the color green.
This was such a fun simple card to make.  I stamped the background with a printed stamp using Stampin Up Pear Pizzazz.  I then stamped the flower image with Stampin Up Old Olive.  I then used a Martha Stewart butterfly punch and I was done.  Don't you just love the simplicity of this card?

Thanks for dropping by.  I hope to be posting several other projects this week.  Be sure a stop in.

From The Heart Digital Stamps Challenge 55

The snow is about to begin and I can say the only thing good about it is that I like to stay inside and work on my cards.

I decided to use sketch #55  that can be found on the FTHS blog.
I decided to use the Birthday Candle Birdbrain Image that can be found at From The Heart Digital Stamps to make my card.  It is so cute and I feel like I am getting a jump on my birthday cards since I have so many coming up in March.
I colored the image with my copic markers.  The red strip is actually 1/4" score tape that I used and then just put glitter over it.  It makes such a nice border.

Hope you enjoyed my post.  Be sure and check out the March stamp of the month over at FTHS.  It is guaranteed to make you smile.

PIP Challenge #2409

I am a little late in posting my card for Pammies Inky Pinkies Challenge #2409 .  Our internet was down all day yesterday.  Oh the joys of...
