Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge

I came home from stamp camp filled with creative juices flowing so I decided to make a card for the Tuesday Morning Sketches. And also get a few of my Easter cards finished up.

This is the sketch that we were to use for our card.
The stamp set I used was Take Three Spring from Papertrey Ink. I thought this would make the perfect Easter card.

Stamp Camp

Here are a few of the cards we made at stamp camp. This was we used our tag die and embossed the blue background. What a nice bright card it made.

I really love the bird in this card. We did a little blending on his body.

This card we used the build a flower punch from stampin up. I think the ric-rack really made this card.

Bunny Calendar

I came across these wonderful digital stamps at Angels Landing. I love all kinds of animals and she has the cutest animals for sale. I appreciate her tutorials on what copics to use also in coloring the animals. This really helped me out. For this project I chose the bunny on vinca. I bought a 5 x 7 acrylic frame to put the image in. I colored the image with my copics as suggested on her website. I then glued a tear away calendar on the front of the acrylic frame.

I just love these images. I also bought some of the other animals and just waiting to put them on cards.

Sketch Saturday Challenge Week #200

Wow - 2 cards posting in one day. Guess I am feeling crafty today. I decided to get started on my Easter cards today so was looking for some inspiration when I found this darling sketch challenge by Sketch Saturday.
And this is the card that I made using the sketch provided. I have been wanting to use my paper tape that I purchased last year. I have a hard time with the torn edges but I know that is the look. The image is from a stamp set from Cornish Heritage Farms. It is called Hey Chickie and is my favorite Easter set. I used my copics to color in the image.
So now I have my first Easter card completed. I just love making Easter cards. They are so cute.

Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #138

Over at Tuesday Morning Sketches, Kathy Curry came up with this sketch challenge. Of course I loved it and had to find a way to incorporate my newest image in our Monthly Challenge Group over at Splitcoast Stampers.
I loved this image and part of the challenge was to use red & blue. My secret sister had send me some blue papers and thought this would work perfect in making this card. I used SU star punch to add a few more stars to it.
Thanks again to Tuesday Morning Sketches for another great sketch.

Dad Birthday Card

Today is my dad's birthday. He is 80 years young. He used to like to hunt deer so I thought this card would be appropriate.

Happy Spring

I am still loving these Rainy Boots from Two Paper Divas. Today I decided to use them as a flower pot. The flower stamp is from Stampin Up and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.
I am sad my picture turned out kind of blurry but I have a case of the shaky hand today. I still really like this card and thought I might mail it out to brighten someone's day.

The boots are part of the Rainy Days digital set. There are really some cute images on that set. And what a bargain to get all the images for $8.95.

Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge

This weeks challenge over at Tuesday Morning Sketches was lots of fun.
An added twist to the challenge was to make the card Monochromatic. Well that just calls out black and white to me.
I first took this Northwoods Rubber Stamp and stamped it on white PTI paper. I then cut it in 1 inch squares. I added a 1 1/8" border of PTI black to each square. I adhered these to a white swiss dotted embossed card stock. I then stamped the bench again and added it to the top of the card.
This was my take on the challenge. Thanks again to Tuesday Morning Sketches for always coming up with fun sketches.

Just Us Girls Challenge

Today I found a challenge that I just loved. I always like trying new techniques and I found "Just Us Girls" Challenge #127 Faux Embossing. What a fun technique this turned out to be.
I was fascinated with this challenge and even went to Splitcoast Stampers to see the TUTORIAL. I am in a challenge group also and they picked this image for the month of March. It is called "CHANGITO Cha Cha". I thought it would make a perfect wedding card.
So thanks to Just Us Girls for providing a great challenge.

Tuesday Morning Sketches

I can't believe that I am making Christmas cards in March but I am in a challenge group and our goal was to make one card a week.

Over at Tuesday Morning Sketches they have this sketch challenge which I decided to incorporate my Christmas card with.
This is the card I came up with. The challenge was to use a snowman and the color purple. Turned out to be not quite the typical Christmas card but I love it. I used the stamp set Frosty from Stampin Up.
Check back tomorrow because I have 6 more Christmas cards to post.

More Rainy Boots

Have I said how much I love this digital set from Two Paper Divas? I am having so much fun with these boots. This would be the design and color I would pick for myself. I love the purple and blue together. I stamped and punched out flowers with coordinating papers and added a doily and a cute border.

I can't wait to see what else I can do with this set.

Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge

I have a new favorite digital set from Two Paper Divas. It is called rainy days. I have always loved the images of Rain Boots. Must be because I would just love to have a pair. I think they are all the rage right now. Who knows, maybe I will get myself a pair.

To come up with this card, I went to Tuesday Morning Sketches for some inspiration. They always do the greatest Sketch Challenges. This is what the sketch looks like.

So I pulled out my favorite designer paper of the day "A Beautiful Life" by My Mind's Eye. I just love these colors in this set. A little beyond my normal pink and brown. I printed the boots, sentiment and puddle on the colored paper and then cut them out. This is my version of the challenge above.
I have more projects planned to be sure and check back. I think you will see how much I love these boots. Hope you don't get tired of seeing them.

Have a great week!

Liebster Blog

Liebster Blog

I was very honored to receive this award from Linda, one of my Splitcoast Stamper Friends. We were lucky enough to meet in KC when we both took Suzanne Deans copics class. Linda is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Liebster in German means "dearest" and the idea of the Liebster Blog Award is to spread the love from on small blog under 200 followers to other small blogs which helps to spread knowledge and readership. Thank you Linda for thinking of me and for sending me the honor. I truly enjoy our friendship and I feel very fortunate to have met such wonderful people through SCS.

To accept the award, you must:
1) Link back to the person who gave it and thank them for thinking of you.
2) Post the award to your blog.
3) Give the award to 5 bloggers (with less than 200 followers) that you appreciate and value.
4) Leave a comment on the blogs of the five people you have chosen to let them know.

So now I would like to pass on the award - this was not easy as there are so many blogs I follow and admire but I did have to knock out all of those with over 200 followers (which did help!). In the end I picked the following blogs, listed in no particular idea
